Initiative Timeline

By the People, for the People (BPP) is a people-centric initiative where Americans deliberate to reimagine their democratic constitutional republic so that it better serves them based on how they determine their needs and interests.

The initiative’s National Advisory Board will serve the American People working in collaboration with a broad spectrum of nonpartisan civil society groups, civic leaders, democracy practitioners and democracy scholars to realize the By the People, for the People initiative. The initiative will be launched in 2026, just prior to the 250th anniversary of the United States.
